Save a Pound Dog Queensland (SAPDQ) is locking one of their volunteers in a dog crate to raise funds and awareness. The registered charity saves dogs on death row in pounds and finds them permanent homes. But SAPDQ is in desperate needs of funds. The volunteer will remain in the crate until the target of $2000 has been reached, even if it means that she stays caged overnight.
Suzanne Botha, Secretary of SAPDQ says “A lot of needy dogs don’t ever get out of their cages in pounds all over Queensland. We need to raise awareness of the plight of these dogs and help rescue more. We need the money, but we also need to encourage people to sign up for foster caring.”
The caging will be held at Pet Centro 737 Sandgate Road Clayfield
on Saturday September 13th. It kicks off at 10am.
