Dentist Help please XD [29 Mar 2010|01:27pm]

keraunophilliac
[ mood | hyper ]

Holla,

I would like to get my teeth fixed, in every way. Growing up in a lower class family does not do wonders for the health. I want to get them all fixed, and then whitened and whatever else they can do to make them look nicer.

Basically I want to make my teeth healthier and prettier.

Any suggestions for places to go? I'm not exactly sure whether one dentist would do all of that or if I would have to go to a couple of places.
I'm expecting to pay a few thousand if I want to get everything all healthy and nice.

Thanks so much for any help and suggestions. I can't wait to get this started!
Also, I really like a nice, funny dentist who will fill me with whatever it takes to make me not feel a thing.

Thanks!

Funeral Homes [04 Jan 2010|12:04pm]

Hey Brisbane heads,

Just wondering if anybody knew of any good Funeral Homes in Brisbane. Preferably South Side, and for poorer folk. It would have to be non-religous. I'm not really sure what else I should include but any suggestions would be amazing.

Cheers guys,

Smelly

And I need your help Friends' List!!

As some may or may not know, I am a part-time Tupperware Demonstrator and I'm always looking for the next opportunity to get together and meet new people whilst imparting some helpful hints and tips and wonderful ways to use this fabulous product.

Have you ever wanted an excuse to catch up with old school friends, neighbours, colleagues or just 'the girls' (or 'boys') but never seem to find the right time or place to get together? Why not hold a Tupperware Demonstration instead? There are fabulous products, simple and effective recipes to try, loads of free Tupperware to qualify for and best of all, you have plenty of fun with your friends.

It is coming up to the biggest time of the year and my manager has issued me a special challenge to have 5 parties in my diary over the next 3 weeks including our all important Record Breaker Week. RBW is where each Demonstrator is challenged to sell the most Tupperware they have ever sold during a week and 'break' their record.

I would love each and every one of you if you have EVER considered holding a Tupperware party, even if you would just like to see the new specials and make an order, to please look at your busy schedules and see when we could fit in a gathering of you and some friends.

I know this is a bit left field, but does anyone know of anywhere I can purchase a banjo for $100 or less?
It's for a man who changed his mind more often than his underwear, but "really really" wants one for Xmas.
I'm willing to bet that it'll be collecting dust under the bed by new year, hence why I don't want to spend a large amount of money.
Any leads?

And I'm looking for Gus and Frank's Fake Live EP.. anyone?

Sup on the sunny coast? X-posted. [21 Oct 2009|11:18am]

swing_boy
So what's the deal ya'll, I've just moved from Mackay to the Sunshine Coast and I used to live in Brisbane (hence the Brisvegas connection).

Is there a specific Sunny Coast community that has all the goings-on in it? I'm into the more unusual sort of things, and particularly after a cool bar or restaurant to haunt that doesn't have hibiscus flowers in the front window.

Anyway, cheers.

Peter Greenaway Gig [01 Sep 2009|08:20pm]

drjon
A mate of mine's got a ticket for sale to Peter Greenaway: The Tulse Luper VJ Performance on 25/9/09 @ GOMA. He wants $58 for it, which is what it cost.

"Using a large plasma screen with touchscreen, Peter Greenaway finally achieves total freedom from classic cinematographic linearity. Sharing the stage with DJ Radar (Serge Dodwell) and electro-acoustical composer Huibert Boon, Peter Greenaway brings true Live Cinema to Brisbane, following hugely successful performances across Europe and South America."

If you're interested, PM me with your email address and I'll pass it along to my mate (he's on FaceBook).

All Ages music events being cancelled [27 Apr 2009|09:42pm]

this_is_panic
Heya Brizzy kids.

I am a journo student, and I'm doing a story on All Ages venues and events in the Brisbane and Bayside areas being cancelled, often due to underage drinking. For example, the Cleveland CHARGED events being cancelled due to security reasons, Bayside Intense almost suffering the same fate after complaints about underage drinking, the Arena ceasing to put on all ages gigs quite suddenly (after kids had bought tickets to a certain show, they were then not let in...) and since being closed altogether... We have lost a lot of AA venues and events recently.

My question to you fine people, if I may ask for your opinions, is how do you think it's affecting the local music scenes and the youth in local communities? Do you think the cancellation of these events will really help prevent underage drinking? Is there anyone underage who misses these AA events and gigs?

Any thoughts on the subject would be appreciated guys, it would be good to hear what you thought about it. :):)

t-shirt printing places [22 Apr 2009|11:23pm]

this_is_panic
Heya all

I was wondering if anyone could suggest some places who do good quality screen printing for T-shirts, at reasonable prices, around Brisbane, or southside or the Bayside. I'm looking at getting a quite few done up, so maybe somewhere who have deals on larger quantities or something like that??

Anyway, anything would help :)
Thanks a lot fellow Brisbane dwellers!

A REAL B*TCH IN A CAGE FOR THE PLIGHT OF DEATH ROW DOGS

Save a Pound Dog Queensland (SAPDQ) is locking one of their volunteers in a dog crate to raise funds and awareness. The registered charity saves dogs on death row in pounds and finds them permanent homes. But SAPDQ is in desperate needs of funds. The volunteer will remain in the crate until the target of $2000 has been reached, even if it means that she stays caged overnight.

Suzanne Botha, Secretary of SAPDQ says “A lot of needy dogs don’t ever get out of their cages in pounds all over Queensland. We need to raise awareness of the plight of these dogs and help rescue more. We need the money, but we also need to encourage people to sign up for foster caring.”

The caging will be held at Pet Centro 737 Sandgate Road Clayfield
on Saturday September 13th. It kicks off at 10am.

To donate to SAPDQ or enquire about fostering dogs please contact Suzanne Botha on 3359-8228 , or check out their website www.sapdogqld.asn.au
